Blueberry season is here again, so it’s time for the 2017 edition of the always popular Lochaber Blueberry Festival. This year’s event will take place on Sunday, August 27th at the Lochaber Centre, 1555 Highway No. 7 and runs from 1:00 – 4:30. As usual, there will be a wide choice of delicious homemade blueberry desserts or, if one prefers, plain fresh local berries. This plus a beverage costs $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 12. There will be live entertainment featuring LeeBoy, as well as a Silent Auction with a chance to bid on items of interest from a large selection of products and services donated by supporters of the festival.
So plan to gather family and friends and join us for what promises to be an enjoyable afternoon of scrumptous desserts, enjoyable music and, if you’re lucky, pick up an interesting item or two from the auction, all while socializing with friends and neighbours, old and new.
