Seniors groups from around the county will be holding “Antigonish County Older Adult Games” on Saturday, June 26th. These friendly competitions are open to anyone turning 55 or older during 2010. Most of the activities will take place at the St. Andrews Community Centre. Activities include bowling, cribbage, indoor shuffleboard, croquet, scrabble, timed walking, outdoor shuffleboard, nordic walking, pie making, bocce ball, contract bridge, curling (on a gym floor, not ice), darts, progressive 45s, washer toss, softball and crokinole. Registration fees are $10 for activities and lunch or $20 for activities, lunch, evening dinner and entertainment. The deadline for registration is June 10th. Come on all you darts players, bowlers, cards players, curlers and others and plan to have a day of fun on the 26th.
