Speaking about advances in technology, fifty odd years ago Don Messer and his Islanders put on a concert at Sylvan Hall. This year in late February, Jan MacKay, who entertained us at one of our “Songs at Sylvan” pub nights, recorded a CD before a live audience at Sylvan Hall. This Friday, June 4th, from 8:00 – 10:00 PM Jan will be having a CD release party for her debut album entitled “Turn Into Song: Live at Sylvan Hall” at the hall. Everyone’s invited to come and enjoy listening to Jan and her friends. It will make for a fine evening of top notch entertainment. See the attached Flyer.
